Why mouth corners turn down
The depressor anguli oris, or DAO, is a small muscle below each corner of your mouth. It pulls the corners down, and over time it can leave you looking sad or tired even when you're relaxed.
Relaxing the DAO lets the corners of the mouth sit a little higher. Placement matters here, since nearby muscles shape your smile, so we dose carefully. For deeper lines below the mouth, dermal filler can be added.
